Experimental short with a sequence of extreme close-ups and music by Machinefabriek. Directed by Jonathan Sterkenburg, made as a test for my new Canon 550D. www.muziektelevisie.nl — My very first shots on my 550D at the train station in Groningen, Netherlands. Really just a few shots, since i’m completely broke and didn’t have money to buy a bigger sd card than 4gb and a 30 euro lens. Actually, quite a good lense for the money, it’s an Olympus Zuiko 50mm f1.8. I’m waiting for my nikon adapter to arrive so I can use my f1.4. Things I noticed + the raw images almost look color graded already. On my minidv pal 1/6 inch camera the image was very unsaturated and lowcontrast, which I liked cause it gave me alot of room to play to almost extreme levels. but maybe it’s just that I shot everything with iso100, have to try all settings out yet. + it’s extremely difficult to keep the camera steady, it’s missing a alot of weight that I had on my lensadapter + heavy lens videocamera. + things looked alot brighter on while shooting than on my computer screen. + very difficult to focus music is by the dutch musician “Machinefabriek”, from the 3″ “Manchester”. This is not an intro btw, but his core business.
